Does Ken's Parkhill Roofing carry liability and workmen's compensation insurance?
Simply stated, yes, we do carry both liability and workmen's compensation insurance. In the rare likelihood that an accident would occur to your home or one of our employees, we at Ken's Parkhill Roofing assume the liabilities. Due to the fact that we do carry these necessary items pay for them each year, we cannot always have the cheapest pricing. We also believe that the cheapest is not always the best. However, we do make sure to treat each customer fairly.
Are warranties given with the completion of the job?
With every tear off or reroof a full ten year warranty is given on all normal weather conditions. Documentation of the warranty is provided along with the material warranty. The warranty on the material depends on which style shingles you should choose. We have shingles available starting from a twenty-five year warranty all the way up to a lifetime warranty.
Do you subcontract?
Ken's Parkhill Roofing uses only it's own paid employees. We have payroll expenses as well as our own equipment. Driving through Northeast Ohio you are sure to see our shiny red and white trucks, driven by our own men. We believe subcontracting not only takes away that personal Parkhill touch from the job, but our own foremen are able to supervise our own employees and make sure every item of the job is completed up to Parkhill standards. Again, because we do not subcontract and pay payroll taxes as well as equipment expenses, we cannot always be the cheapest roofer on the market.
Does Ken's Parkhill Roofing do commercial roofing?
We do not do commercial flat roofing. We do however do commercial shingle work. In other words all buildings that have a pitch greater than a three twelve would fall under our category. We also do flat garages and do not consider them commercial work. If you do have a commercial flat building, we would be happy to recommend a commercial roofer to you. When in doubt contact us.
Do you give free estimates?
All of our estimates are free of charge. Just give us a call or email us and we will respond immediately. If you have questions about your roof, or don't know if you need a new one just yet, we will be happy to help you out at no cost.
My roof only has one layer of roofing, should I tear it off or just reroof it? And how many layers am I allowed to put on my roof?
First of all, most if not all cities only permit a residence to have two layers of roof. However, we at Parkhill Roofing always recommend that you tear off a roof even if it has only one layer. The reasoning for this is because when we tear off a roof, not only are we able to put down ice guard that helps in preventing ice backup problems, but we are also able to inspect that the actual roof decking itself is in good condition. If some boards appear rotted out when you tear the roof off, we are able to replace them and make sure the roof decking will last for years to come. Again, when in doubt contact us and we will let you know if reroofing your house is even an option.
